When a mission indicator is appear, the performance drops radically. When the indicator disappears, the performance goes back to normal.
Performance problem when mission indicator is visible

Hello,
your performance drops from 50.3 ms / frame to 52.7ms. This is not so radically.
It looks very radically in the graph due to the scale of it, but you should not experience any difference. -
The only significant change is the GUI ms that goes from 1.9 to 0.3 when you drive over the floating marker. the fps difference is hard to justify as it can be many things. it could be because you moved a bit forward or more likely because the scenery changed slightly and you are only rendering 1 npc car in the second screenshot compared to 3 in the first screenshot, 2 near the T-junction and 1 on the road further away. But I agree with MBB, the performance difference isn't that big. if you were loosing 3+ fps and had a much higher ms in the gui then I might consider the floating marker to be a problem, but for the sake of testing I will try and see if it has any significant hit on my system
Did a quick test on the same field but with a cultivator but that shouldn't really make a difference. I my fps around 54-58 and my ms was pretty stable at 17-18 ms.
One thing to note would be that I did not have any ms in my GUI at all
I just quickly cultivated the field and started the plowing mission and went to the same spot and saw the same result the only difference was that I my fps was between 57-60 this time but that was most likely because my camera angle was not the exact same but besides that the performance was the exact same. The post was edited 2 times, last by Jeytav ().

The FPS drop is not a big thing. The big problem is the lagging. It is very very lagging when the indicator is visible. Almost unplayable. But when the indicator is disappear, the game runs smoothly again. You can't measure this lagging in the FPS meter, I can only see it in CPU meter.
He talks about the same problem: Performance tanks when tractor spawns
Maybe you can't notice the lagging because you have other type of CPU or GPU, or I don't know. But believe me, this is not normal. It is very very lagging. -
Here is a video:
You can see how it is lagging when the indicator is visible, and how smooth when the indicator is gone.
-
I can't spot a difference. Can you re-record it with the time window open?
-
It's clearly visible. Just watch the environment. AI cars, trees,...
Anyway I made another video. I opened and closed the cultivator to better see the lagging.
Another thing I noticed: The lagging is gone when I hide the UI.
-
Yeah I can see that there is some lag going on there in both videos. Could you post your pc specs @masterbrain take a look at the 2 videos that patai posted

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz QuadCore
Nvidia GeForce GTX650

Here is a detailed report with OpelGL an DirectX properties:

I woud say, the graphic card is at the bottom of minimal requirement. Thats why it laggs, I would suggest.
I have different gpu, but I don't have this described issues. -
I don't have the problem either. But it's very weird that it's so extreme. The difference between GUI on and off is massive.

This is weird. -
same problem for me too
Fx6 core
980 gtx
Fps drop a little ...but lag stop when indicator is off!!:( -
If you watch the video carefully, iIt looks like the animation is lagging, not the display.
-
Hey Folks,
yet we are at least 7 people expieriencing this issue.
If you have the same Problems, please let me know. I will count everyone in the following Thread:
Aktive Mission beeinträchigt die Performance
If you want to be named in this Thread please also let me know.
Best regards
