This bug really annoys me, as I have afterburner and rivatuner statistics running 99% of the time. Closing and reopening when I'm finished doesn't take a lot of time, but it is a minor annoyance.

could it be your using the wrong type of rendering method within afterburner for the OSD, as there is vector and raster type as well as method used to inject the OSD either in the buffer or after the buffer.
just a thought from the days when I did use afterburner and its predecessor.
