Status Update 08.17.18

For the weekend we want to give you a small insight into the current state of the Straw Update’s development:
Bales can already be pressed, at the moment the Claas Quadrant still ejects dummy objects though.

Next up we will deal with the handling of the bales - loading, unloading, transport etc.

This is exactly what the community was asking for, those small but important updates.
Once a week would be perfect.
As i can see, the Claas Quadrant look very promising, also curious to see texture of bales.

I sure hope the bales will have proper physics and weight. Would like to stack bales and transport them with loader without them sliding off of each other.

I just hope we can get double key binding so I can continue using my joystick for view and add front loader commands as well.

@rubberburner89 I would like to recommend to you to use something like trackir or cheaper delan clip (which I use). For simulation games its pretty awesome to use headtracking.

@Buttermaker I've thought about getting TrackIR before, but aside from American Truck Simulator, I usually play all my simulation games 3rd person.

@rubberburner89 than you miss a bit of immersion. Playing with wheel and headtracking in FPV is great in CnC. For example, plowing with an MBtrac and always doing a control look through the windows at the bottom, to check if you are still in the forrow (hope this is correct) or looking out of your cabin of your Harvester to see if the Harvester is unloading etc. is awesome.
The Best would be a mixed reality device, where you get displayed your real devices (wheel, joystick...) ingame, but that will take a decade I think.

I guess for me I've always found the scenic views from outside the cab more enjoyable in farming games... But hey that's just me. And to be fair, I've never really given 1st person view a fair chance.

This being said even if I did go that route I'd still like to be able to switch from TrackIR to a manually controlled view on my Joystick on the fly at the end of the day, still making combo controls necessary.

You are right, you will have to use another tool to control your view besides headtracking anyway. For example to look backwards I use the stick on my wheel. And because Headtracking only works on FPV you will need something when you have to use the TPV, for example while attaching something.
But it brings great fun. And with the Delan clip it's not that expensive to give it a try.

Open fleet menu and find the tractor you want to refill and there is option to refuel it.

Ive had that happen to me a few times now @Nybyggarn... Hopefully they have a fuel trailer planned for the future.

Farm also have fuel tank where you can refuel on it widouth going to town every time. Hopefully like you said that that tank on farm has certain ammount and when you spend it you need to get fuel cistern and buy and transport to it

now that will be relay cool to forget to refile the fuel tank and your machine to run out of fuel in the middle of the harvest just cause you are lazy :)) But not all of us are looking for hard game play, the google generation will want micro transaction :))

That is why you also can do it from the Fleet menu. with just simple opening of the menu and finding the tractor you drive and clicking on the refuel
