@Jeytav you are not right about the PC Modding Part. Terms of Use say "7.2 [...] the Customer warrants that the User Generated Content created by the Customer does not infringe any copyright or other third-party rights."
That means that you need to make sure that you are allowed to use the Brands name. It doesn't matter if it's console or PC. But the Terms of Use do say a lot more stuff that isn't forced by Giants. Like you are not allowed to earn money (uploaded), show ads(uploaded as well) and so on.

Ooops I was affraid who will pull out some paragraphs of the law.

Perhaps we might make some new thread for this topic, or some exists about legality of mods.

Fearing the wrath of the mighty memphis striking down upon on me for talking offtopic here, I feel the need to make a repsonse.

While it is true that Giants have made a specific paragraph in their Terms and Conditions that doesn't equal that making mods using brands are illegal in general(looking at all the modable games out there), but that paragraph is basically just a way for giants to secure themselves legally. whether if that paragraph has been there since the very beginning of the modhub or if it was added after console mods were introduced I do not know but I do know that any brands not "owned" by giants can't be added to the console version via mods. That paragraph also seems to be aimed at mods uploaded to the modhub so that companies wont be able to take any legal actions towards giants for user generated mods

With all that said it might be an idea to make another topic for this discussion and maybe see if it's possible to find any laws etc about what you can mod and what you can not, although so far my research has led to nothing.

When it comes to CnC, there is as of this moment no ToS or TaC describing what is and what isn't allowed. Which might actually be a quite fun thing to do. although it's a moot point if you ask me, simply because mods have existed for as long as games and afaik there hasn't been any law suits or cease and desists ever made against mods made for games(machines, armor mods etc).
