I get to the point in the scenario where it starts to rain and you are supposed to drive back to the farm, but first you are do Secure your Bales...

how the heck do I secure the bales?

In the settings menü you have to enable in the tab "Difficulty" on the bottom "Freeze Bales".
If you enable these checkboxes it will be visible in the radial menü on the joskin wago.

little bit tricke the tutoprial/scenarios do not tell this.

Hopefully they will be adding straps to the trailers so we can lock down equipment and bales without decreasing your XP multiplier

By completing all the certificates.
