Task containing Lacotec LH II will crash when AI helper enters the field

  • Task containing Lacotec LH II will crash when AI helper enters the field

Alright, I've tried a couple different scenarios now, and it's fairly easy for me to get the game to crash. All my fields are ready to harvest so I've tried a couple different fields. As well I tried with the MB 1800, lacotech, and Orbis 750 in forward driving rotation as well as backwards. I can create the harvest task with one helper, drive to the field, unfold, turn on the header, but I can only get a few feet into the field and then the game will crash. I've sent a couple of crash reports, but I figured ya'll might like to have a copy of the save game as well. Note: It seems to happen as soon as the AI enters the field. Also, the task is a template in the save game titled "Farm Harvest"

  • I've done a couple more tests now, and sold and re-purchased the Orbis 750, it still crashed. However switching to the Jaguar and the 900, and it works just fine.

  • I tested it all and can confirm the same bug. Helper with the Lacotec and Orbis 750 in a Harvest Task brings the game to a crash after the helper drives on the field!

  • Yes, just experiencing the same thing.
Under all combinations of things I tried, game crashes.
And you can't hook the wagon to the tractor and do it all yourself.
The Lacotec won't harvest the corn, unless your speed is something under 1 kph.
    Not even then, really.
And you cannot adjust the cruise control speed even now, something i utterly fail to understand why we cannot do.

  • Its a shame cuz I bought it for my farm, that started small and am growning larger... But I've got the lacotech sitting there unused and I have to rent the jaguar at 10k a season. :(

  • I was really looking forward to using the Lacotec.
But it very much needs a smaller header anyway, the model for which is not yet in game.
I'm guessing a dedicated 3 or 4 meter header for it, with some sorting, and it will work well.

Even the smallest Orbis header is 7.5 meters, and any front mounted harvester would probably explode if you tried to feed that kind of tonnage per minute in to it at any reasonable working speed.

Maybe they can give us a windrow pick up for it to go with the grass update?
Because I could see that set up working very well, both in game and in real life.

Put many, many acres of hay in the silo with a pull type New Holland 717 forage harvester and a 60 ish HP tractopr.
So using a front mounted style one in support of a cow/beef operation , as opposed to a commercial biogas corn farm, would make a lot of sense.
    And be extremely realistic.

Now if only we could get a tower style Harvestore bottom unloading fermenting silo, in support of future dairy operations.
    That would be happy making.

  • I have just tested it, this problem persists. Axion, Lacotec and Orbis 750. If the team drives the field through a helper, the game continues to crash.

Thanks for testing. I did the test, too because it was not clear for me who was driving which vehicle. So I did two tests:

    Test 1:
    • Harvest field #11
    • 1x 940 + Lacotec LH II (front) + Orbis 750 (me)
    • 1x 940 + HAWE (AI Helper)
I can attach alle attachments (LH II, Orbis), I can activeate it (X), (B), (V) and I can harvest and maize is thrown into the HAWE. It works as long as the AI helper is not entering the field. If the AI tractor reaches field and enters it the game is crashing.

    Test 2:
    • Harvest field #11
    • 1x 940 + Lacotec LH II (front) + Orbis 750 (AI Helper)
    • 1x 940 + HAWE (me)
All attachments could be attached without problems, but if AI tractor (with LH II) reaches the field the game is crashing.

So a task containing the Lacotec LH II will crash if the AI helper - idenependetly if the AI helper has the LH II connected or not - is entering the field.

    Thanks!

  • Another problem is that the Lacotec is attached to the rear of the vehicle to work properly, but he would have to do in the task created backwards to the field what he does not do. Because if you put it in front of the vehicle this is wrong! This should also be considered.
one should assume that the Lacotec can only be attached at the back that it works properly.

    Hi,

why do you say it is wrong having LH II in front of a tractor if it can be attached ?

Ist this "only" because of the tractive unit (Zapfwelle) ? Looks like the Claas 940 has it in the front?

But attaching it in the rear in a task works (if I drive the LH II and AI helper follows me until game crash) but game still crashes. Don't know if AI driver with LH II on the rear would work (turn around) because game crashes.

  • It must be attached at the back as this is intended by the manufacturer!

  • This issue still exists... Not gonna lie, I'm pretty frustrated by this. I originally reported it in version 0.2.5. Ugh. Tested on new save game. Updated thread version number... again.
