Liquid fertilizer mass is too low - liters, gallons, kilogramm

  • Liquid fertilizer mass is too low - liters, gallons, kilogramm

Looking at the mass to volume ratio, you are currently using 350kg per 1000L, so the Dammann Land Cruiser with 4000L of capacity is only having 1400kg of imposed load when full.

Now the principle ingredient of liquid fertilizer is water, which is ~1000kg per 1000L, (which is a specific gravity [SG] of 1.0), the next ingredient is Nitrogen [N] which can be as high at 400kg dissolved in 1000L of water, and there can also be sulphites and other things dissolved too, this all together bumps up the mass.

For example, Omex Nitroflo has 390kg of Nitrogen (from urea and ammonium nitrate) per 1000L, its specific gravity is 1.3, so its 1300kg per 1000L.

The specific gravity [SG] of most liquid fertilizer is somewhere between 1.1 and 1.3 or 1100kg to 1300kg per 1000L, meaning if you were to fill the Dammann Land Cruiser with 4000L of liquid fertilizer you would have a mass increase of 4400kg to 5200kg.
