If you use IC and lower the back hitch from outside the trailer does not folow it down.

Also when inside and drag the slider:

*If trying to make it go upp the trailer slowly raises up to your cosen point which is great.
*If you drag it to lower it hops down instead of lowering in a slow and realistic fashion.
