Tech-Demo Release v0.0.9.7 - Changelog

    • Tech-Demo Release v0.0.9.7 - Changelog

Today we have another bug fix update for you and some good news regarding the performance: we have managed to tame the voxel technology! There shouldn’t be any more CPU spikes/lags when dynamic heaps are created, when filling a trailer for example.

With the task planning you can now also let the employee steer the chaff cutter. This means, a field can now also be harvested by the AI. However, there are still some possible situations where the player might have to help out. We are still working on the AI and hope to improve the employee to a degree in the next weeks, where he works autonomously, including headland, chopping and transport with multiple chasers. In our time lapse video you can see a summary of the development’s current state.

Further improvements, changes and fixes for bugs you have reported, can be found in the changelog as always.

We hope you have fun testing!

      Changelog:

      • NEW: The voxel calculations are transferred to different available CPU cores, thus preventing CPU spikes
      • NEW: An employee can be assigned to the chaff cutter via the task menu. Fields can now be harvested by the AI
      • NEW: The AI traffic has been equipped with lights (headlights, brake lights and turn indicator blinkers)

      • BUG FIX: The driving behaviour of the chaser has been improved, driving in circles shouldn’t appear as often
      • BUG FIX: The employee unloads completely again when at the silo
      • BUG FIX: The Bressel und Lade silage shovel can be folded up and out again
      • BUG FIX: The shovel of the front loader only gets filled, when there’s contact with the silage
      • BUG FIX: The inverted steering with controllers in the internal perspective has been fixed

      • CHANGE: The AI employee performs a headland again
      • CHANGE: The driving behaviour of the chaser has been reworked for the entry onto fields and the change of lanes on a field
      • CHANGE: The front loader controls for analog controllers have been optimized. Mouse support will follow in one of the next updates
      • CHANGE: Adjustment of the min-acceleration with kinematic controllers. For instance, it shouldn’t happen any more that an unfolding animation takes two minutes
      • CHANGE: The forced steering for the Stapel tank wagon is being deactivated when backing up
      • CHANGE: Adjustment of the sound and the dust animation of the Orbis: the sound and the animation are now played when the fruit is being pulled into the cutting unit
      • CHANGE: When the zoom factor is changed inside a vehicle cabin, it is now being saved, so you have the same zoom factor as before when entering the vehicle again
      • CHANGE: The unload popup appears once for every shed and not for every single feeding trough
      • CHANGE: The graphics option for adjusting brightness has been reworked
    • As far as it is now this is still a tech demo.. there is no way this is even near Early Access. You guys are going to get killed by review bombs releasing this to Early Access any sooner than having pretty much every feature working and only polish left.

Remember you are competing against FS 2017 (GIANTS)
If the game is not equal to or better than what FS 2017 is then people will not take to the game at all.

Just having the terraformed fields doesn't work to draw people in because many have tried that before and failed.
There needs to be much more depth in the game than just that such as Greenhouses, Orchards and things of that nature.

Agreed. CnC has literally MONTHS left before it can be properly released for early access unless devs want to be butchered by the masses.
People just won't accept something this alpha for early access. Currently they won't even see potential. Cause every single farm sim out there that is not farming simulator (GIANTS) has terraforming. It takes more than that. Something special.

I just hope that EA will be on 24th November.
I don't.. If they release this to EA on the 24th.. it will be destroyed by bad reviews. It needs to be about 6 months before the game is finished before you go to EA. The last 6 months should be Polishing up the game and fixing bugs found by people in EA. This game has 0 content right now. If they put it in EA people will trash it to no end.
    • people dont understand that this is a TECHNICAL PREVIEW it has no bearing on their EA release that they will release eventually. from what i understand they have a map designed for the EA that nobody has seen yet i could be wrong in saying this and that most of the content promised has been hidden from you until EA release. to repeat they are just letting us backers see what technology they have and how they are starting to make it into a game.

i hate these people that think what the technical preview shows is what they want to use as the EA there appears to be no sense in what you say.

the technical preview also allows the developers some feedback as to the "realism" they are trying to incorporate and iron out bugs only a community could find that developers might have overlooked. such as bugs in physics and tiny control objects they might have missed and feedback on different computers and how they run the technical preview.

If this is true they surely aren't sharing any info about it to us (Video or Screenshots). So what we have to go on is what we see. What we see is very buggy and unfinished. If they are doing it like you say then why even put things into the Tech demo? Just give us the dev branch, we did back the game, did they not say we would have alpha access? A tech demo isn't alpha, it's proof of concept. The devs don't even seem to care what people are concerned about, nor do they respond to it.
Maybe they just spend their time in the non-english forums only.

What are you talking about? They have shared, but they are not obligated to tell us every little detail. They keep us in the loop. They shared a picture as late as yesterday on this forum to show what they are up to. The tech demo is helping them clean out bugs and also gives us an insight into things to come.
